ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Police in Asheville say four people are facing felony charges in connection with a break-in at a jewelry store where they say $85,000 in jewelry was stolen.

The Asheville Citizen-Times reports (https://avlne.ws/1T8Ddwp) the break-in happened on June 23 at Blue Goldsmiths, Police spokeswoman Christina Hallingse said 23 rings valued at $85,000 were stolen.

Hallingse said store owners distributed flyers with details of the stolen rings to local jewelry stores, pawn shops and cash-for-gold dealers. As a result, 18 of the rings have been recovered.



Three of the four suspects are being held in the Buncombe County jail, while the fourth has been released on a written promise to appear in court.
