Police: Mother took infant, held knife to throat in photo

NEW YORK (AP) - A New York City mother has been arrested after police say she threatened her 7-month-old baby boy.

Police say 20-year-old Alexis Jabbour was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, reckless endangerment and aggravated harassment.

They say the woman’s estranged boyfriend told police that Jabbour took their son after a dispute on June 19.

Investigators say she sent him an image Wednesday of the child with a knife to his throat.

Police say Jabbour and her son, Nathaniel, were found and she was taken into custody.

It wasn’t immediately known if she had a lawyer.
