ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Police in Albany say one person is dead and another is hospitalized and facing charges after a two-vehicle crash in the city.

Officers say a 22-year-old man was driving on First Street around 1:20 a.m. Sunday when he hit several parked vehicles and left the scene.

Police say he continued toward Henry Johnson Boulevard where he failed to stop at a stop sign and hit a vehicle at an intersection.

The driver of the other vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 22-year-old was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital for treatment. His name and information on his condition hasn’t been released.

The name of the person killed in the crash hasn’t been released by police.
