PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say a gunman shot a 21-year-old man to death in front of the victim’s father in north Philadelphia.
The shots rang out around 11 p.m. Sunday.
Chief Inspector Scott Small says the suspect shot the victim in the face in front of his father. The father chased the shooter for a block before the suspect turned around and fired two shots at him.
The shooter fled and took off in a dark Toyota.
The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities didn’t immediately identify him.
Investigators are looking for surveillance footage to help identify the gunman.
