NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Police in Connecticut say a hit-and-run crash has left a teenager in critical condition.

Authorities arrived at the scene at around 10 p.m. Saturday in New Haven. Police say a 17-year-old Bridgeport man was crossing Whalley Avenue when he was struck by a white Mitsubishi Eclipse.

Police say the vehicle kept going after hitting the teen.

The driver is wanted on felony evading charges, and possibly other offenses. Police haven’t identified him.

The teen was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he was treated for life-threatening injuries.
