CEDAR PARK, Texas (AP) - A Cedar Park man has been charged in the killing of two dogs owned by one of his parents.
The Austin American-Statesman (https://atxne.ws/1MyTZUJ ) reports 26-year-old Dustin Blake Fowkes was charged Wednesday with two counts of cruelty to animals. According to an arrest affidavit, Cedar Park animal control officers responded to a report that a homeowner’s dogs had been shot.
The affidavit says Fowkes told officers that a golden retriever and a gray miniature poodle defecated on his mother’s new rug and “tore up his bedroom.” According to the affidavit, Fowkes said he took the dogs to a wooded area behind the house and shot them.
He was arrested Tuesday and posted $20,000 bail. Online court records did not have an attorney listed for Fowkes.
