STRATFORD, Conn. (AP) - A 16-year-old Stratford boy is accused of getting a 9-year-old girl drunk and sexually assaulting her.

The Connecticut Post reports (https://bit.ly/1MzhYTI ) the teen, whose name has not been released, was charged Wednesday with first-degree sexual assault.

Police say the Shelton girl reported the incident to a counselor.

Police say she was lured by the teen into the basement of his home and where he forced her to drink an alcoholic beverage and then raped her.

Police say the teen allegedly showed the girl a knife and told her he would cut off her doll’s head if she told anyone.

Police say he has denied assaulting the girl. He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.
