RICHMOND, Vt. (AP) - Authorities say one person has died in a head-on car crash on Interstate 89 in Vermont.
State police say it happened just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Richmond when a car crossed the median just north of exit 11.
Police say 30-year-old Brendon Cousino of Richmond was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fire officials say a female driver was ejected from her car and had significant injuries. She was taken to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
A pickup truck was also involved in the wreck, but sustained minor damage.
State police confirmed that a preliminary investigation shows one vehicle drifted across the median before the crash.
