WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) - An Arkansas woman working at a strip club in the North Dakota oil patch hub of Williston is accused of assaulting two police officers.

Authorities say 24-year-old Wendy Stuard, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, was approached by officers last weekend because she was shouting profanities in the street outside Heartbreakers.

Stuard allegedly struck two officers in the face before they subdued her with a stun gun. The Williston Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1MBz4jO ) that the officers suffered cuts and bruises.

Court documents do not list an attorney for Stuard. She is due in court on Sept. 10 and could enter pleas then to felony charges that could land her in prison for up to 15 years if she’s convicted.
