GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - Events marking the 102nd anniversary of the birth of President Gerald Ford are planned in Michigan.

The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation is hosting the events, including a free July 13 community concert featuring Starlifter, the U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America. The concert is at Ah-Nab-Awen Park in Grand Rapids, near the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum.

On July 14, Ford’s daughter Susan Ford Bales and the Ford family will host a wreath-laying tribute at President Ford’s tomb. The commemoration will conclude with the 2015 William E. Simon Lecture featuring former Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill.

Ford died in 2006, and former first lady Betty Ford died in 2011. They lived in Rancho Mirage, California, for decades. Their hometown was Grand Rapids.
