ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A pregnant St. Paul woman is charged with fatally stabbing her boyfriend last week.

Thirty-three-year-old Natalie Pollard was charged Monday with second-degree murder. Bail was set at $750,000.

Pollard was arrested Thursday after police responded to her home on a report of a break-in. Officers found 30-year-old Obinna Udo Nwankpa unconscious and bloody at the bottom of the basement stairs. He died at a hospital.

According to the complaint, Pollard told investigators that Nwankpa, the father of her unborn baby, had been staying with her for about five months. She said he left earlier but came back and entered the home through a window.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press (https://bit.ly/1HIiA8l ) reports the complaint said the two began arguing. Pollard initially said Nwankpa had the knife but later changed her story.
