FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - A man who was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a fight that police say was started over proper American flag etiquette is making his way to recovery.
The Coloradoan reports (https://noconow.co/1LQbVsO ) that staff from the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland confirmed Monday that 25-year-old Todd Hesser of Fort Collins was in fair condition.
Hesser was listed in critical condition after the alcohol-fueled pool party fight Saturday at an apartment complex near Colorado State University’s main campus.
Police say the scuffle followed an argument about the precedence of the flag. Hesser was punched in the face, causing him to fall and hit the concrete.
As of noon Monday, no arrests had been made, though police had identified a 20-year-old suspect Saturday.
An investigation into the fight is ongoing.
