NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - One year after making Nike its exclusive apparel provider, Vanderbilt has extended its deal with the company through 2023.

Vanderbilt announced the agreement Tuesday in a university release. Financial details weren’t disclosed.

Nike became Vanderbilt’s exclusive apparel provider for all 15 varsity sports last year. Nike already had been the apparel provider for Vanderbilt’s football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball programs, but some of its other teams used different companies before the deal was reached to make Nike the supplier for all sports.

Vanderbilt’s announcement comes less than a week after in-state rival Tennessee began its new contract with Nike. Tennessee had used Adidas as its apparel provider since 1997.
