PLAQUEMINE, La. (AP) - Authorities say a former Iberville Parish teacher has been indicted on charges related to inappropriate sexual relationships with three students.

The Advocate (https://bit.ly/1McmZye) reports that 30-year-old Keavin Keith of Plaquemine was indicted by a grand jury Tuesday.

Authorities say Keith was charged with five counts of carnal knowledge and 31 counts of prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and a student.

The sheriff’s office says Keith was arrested in May after a female student told authorities about her sexual relationship with Keith and that she conceived Keith’s child when she was 15 years old.

Upon further investigation, police say they learned Keith had sexual relationships with at least two more female students.

Sheriff Brett Stassi said previously that Keith admitted to investigators he’d had sex with the students.
