GLENCOE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the discovery of a body in the Coosa River in Etowah County.
Etowah County Coroner Michael Head said the body was found Wednesday night in Glencoe.
Authorities were working to identify the body. Head tells the Gadsden Times that the body is that of a male. He said it had probably been in the water a few days.
Al.com reports that several law enforcement agencies on Wednesday night were gathering evidence in the case.
Glencoe is just southeast of Gadsden.
