FLINT, Mich. (AP) - Police escorted Flint Councilman Eric Mays out of a City Hall meeting after he refused to stop speaking.

Flint police Chief James Tolbert says Mays left the Wednesday meeting with a police officer by his side and wasn’t arrested.

The Flint Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1NQWfUy ) Councilwoman Monica Galloway, chairwoman of the council’s finance committee, told Mays he was being disorderly and asked police to remove him.

Mays is running for mayor. He was airing grievances against other council members and told Galloway “I’ll be removed” and “I’m not afraid of you.”
