JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - Jurors say a gun shop owner is not responsible for the death of a man killed by a gun he says was stolen by a fugitive.

The Juneau Empire reports (https://bit.ly/1JW4D5A) Ray Coxe left the courthouse not guilty of any wrongdoing in a verdict delivered after 10 hours of deliberation and a two-week trial.

Mark Choate was one of the lawyers representing the family of 26-year-old Simone Young Kim, who was shot and killed in 2006. He said the family left the courthouse crushed by the verdict.

The lawsuit said Coxe illegally sold the firearm to fugitive Jason Coday. Coxe said Coday stole it.

The jury’s verdict holds Coday completely responsible for Kim’s death.
