UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) - Prince George’s County fire officials say a blaze significantly damaged a popular Upper Marlboro restaurant and lounge.

Fire officials say a 911 caller reported smoke coming from the roof at Tuckers Restaurant on Marlboro Pike around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Officials say the fire focused in the attic and roof spread so quickly and became so intense that commanders fearing a roof collapse cleared firefighters from the building. About 100 firefighters and medics were brought in to battle the blaze, which was extinguished just after 5 a.m.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
