Late billionaire businessman Kirk Kerkorian to get MGM Resorts, Fremont Street video tributes
MGM Resorts International says flags will fly at half-staff and video tributes to the company’s founder Kirk Kerkorian will play on marquees at all of its properties through sunset Wednesday.
The 98-year-old billionaire businessman died at his Beverly Hills home Monday night.
The Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas also plans to broadcast a tribute to the man credited with building three of the world’s largest hotels at the time including the first Las Vegas mega-resort.
The Experience’s overhead video canopy that runs the length of four city blocks is set to broadcast the video retrospective Tuesday night following the regular shows every hour on the hour starting at 8 p.m. through midnight.
