HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Hartford police say a man was shot in the head and critically wounded in what they believe was a shootout Monday night in the city’s North End.

Police say they recovered shell casings that show at least 16 shots were fired from three guns.

The 32-year-old victim was found on Martin Street. He was taken to Saint Francis Hospital and was listed in critical condition on Tuesday.

His name has not been released. No arrests have been made.
