LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Members of the Arkansas congressional delegation say five airports in the state will share $1.8 million in federal grants for airport upgrades and improvements.
U.S. Sens. John Boozman and Tom Cotton and Reps. Rick Crawford and Bruce Westerman announced the Department of Transportation Grants on Wednesday.
Billy Free Municipal Airport in Dumas will receive $216,689 to rehabilitate runway lighting and taxiway lighting; Clarksville Municipal will receive $432,990 to rehabilitate a taxiway; and Manila Municipal Airport will receive $308,000 to rehabilitate an apron and rehabilitate a taxiway.
Also, Steve Edwards Field at Marianna will receive $286,660 to install equipment and rehabilitate an apron; and Ozark-Franklin County airport will receive $580,000 to improve airport drainage.
