MUSKEGON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Police say a 21-year-old pregnant woman has been found slain at an apartment complex in western Michigan and a man is in custody in the Muskegon County case.
The Muskegon Chronicle says Dominique O’Neal’s body was found Wednesday morning at Quail Meadows Apartments in Muskegon Township. Two young children were at the home and police say they’re believed to have been present when she was killed.
Sanford says O’Neal had puncture wounds on her body, but didn’t say how she was killed. He says a 22-year-old male “person of interest” was in custody.
Sanford says the man called 911 around 5 a.m. to report finding the woman dead and police responded.
Authorities say O’Neal was about six months pregnant. TV stations WOOD, WXMI and WZZM say the fetus didn’t survive.
