LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Police are investigating after a teenager was injured in a shooting in Little Rock.
According to Little Rock Police Department Sgt. Bryan Brown, officers responded to a report of a 17- or 18-year-old being shot at a residence in the South End area Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities say the victim was shot in the arm, and the bullet exited through the opposite side of his body and hit a dresser inside the home. Brown said the victim was transported to UAMS Medical Center for surgery and was in “critical but stable” condition.
According to Brown, a 15-year-old who was taken into custody told police that the shooting was accidental.
The investigation is ongoing.
