VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - A delegation of business, government and education leaders from the Philippines will visit Virginia Beach in July.

The delegation comes from the city of Olongapo, which is on Subic Bay and is one of Virginia Beach’s four Sister Cities.

The group will visit Virginia Beach from July 2 to July 6. Virginia Beach officials say a major goal of the visit will be to help build Olongapo’s fire safety system and enhance its 911 emergency operations.

While in Virginia, the group will tour Virginia Beach’s fire training center, 911 operations center and a fire station. The delegation will also tour the oceanfront, the MacArthur Memorial in Norfolk and the Virginia Port Authority.
