LOS ANGELES (AP) - Fire has damaged a house being used as a church in the Echo Park area of Los Angeles.
Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart says the fire began early Monday morning on the porch of the structure and spread to the attic, but was quickly extinguished. Most of the damage was limited to the porch of the Fore Runners for Christ church.
Stewart says the multi-agency House of Worship Task Force has responded to conduct the investigation.
