LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department is alerting drivers of lane closures on interstates and U.S. highways during the coming July 4th holiday weekend.

The department says highway improvement projects are underway and there are work zones on four interstates and on U.S. 67.

Four miles of a lane of westbound Interstate 30 is closed at Benton; four miles of lanes in both directions are closed on I-55 at Blytheville; one mile of southbound I-430 at Little Rock is closed; eight miles of lanes in both directions of I-530 at the Pulaski/Saline County line is closed; and seven miles of a southbound lane of I-530 at White Hall is closed.



Five miles in both directions of U.S. 67 is closed near Bald Knob.
