BOSTON, N.Y. (AP) - State police say a 68-year-old western New York woman injured in a hit-and-run accident last month has died.

Dorothy Solomon had been hospitalized since being hit by a vehicle while walking her dog the morning of May 23 along a rural road in the town of Boston, 15 miles south of Buffalo. Troopers say her dog was killed and she was knocked into a ditch.

Police say Wednesday that Solomon has died. An autopsy was conducted and results are pending.

Troopers say they’ve located a vehicle believed to be involved in the accident. No one has been charged.
