GATE CITY, Va. (AP) - A Tennessee woman has pleaded guilty in connection with the death of a 21-year-old woman in 2010.

The Kingsport TimesNews (https://bit.ly/1EUTkDU ) reports Jennifer Crabtree Purcell pleaded guilty to accessory to first-degree murder in Scott County Circuit Court in Virginia. Purcell will be sentenced July 20 for her role in the death of 21-year-old Natasha Gross.

Gross’ remains were found by Scott County Sheriff’s Office deputies on June 9, 2010, in a small creek after she had been missing for more than two weeks. Authorities confirmed Gross’ killing was related to the stabbing death of 41-year-old Steven Rodriguez in May 2010.



There are three co-defendants the case, including John Person Purcell, Jennifer Purcell’s husband, who pleaded guilty in December 2014. He is serving a 70-year sentence.
