HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A 29-year-old man trying to attach a boat trailer to his SUV has died after another vehicle crashed into the trailer on a busy Macomb County road.
The wife of the Clinton Township man witnessed the crash Wednesday night in Harrison Township.
The sheriff’s office says a 21-year-old man apparently didn’t see that the trailer had stopped. William Rainey III was pinned under the boat, and the other vehicle caught fire.
Rainey’s wife and the driver of the Chevrolet Equinox were treated for injuries.
