DETROIT (AP) - A Detroit police officer is accused of stealing a movie collage from the crime drama “Scarface” while executing a search warrant.
The Wayne County prosecutor’s office on Friday charged 62-year-old Christos Kyriakides with larceny in a building. Prosecutors say Kyriakides on Feb. 20 placed the framed collage in his scout car and later concealed it in his personal vehicle.
Court records for 36th District Court don’t list a lawyer for Kyriakides, who was arraigned Friday. His bond was set at $10,000 and his next hearing is set for next Friday.
The Detroit News reports that the police department has suspended him.
