COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Colorado Springs police say a motorcycle officer who was intentionally rammed by a vehicle during a traffic stop shot at but missed the suspect.

Sgt. Jim Sokolik says the officer was trying to pull the driver over just west of Ute Valley Park on Friday afternoon. The officer, whose name has not been released, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and the suspect fled the scene.

Police say the suspect, Robert Denhartog, was arrested after he barricaded himself in a nearby apartment complex. He was arrested on a charge of attempted murder.
