NOVI, Mich. (AP) - Police are investigating a report of a beating of a 62-year-old patient at a suburban Detroit nursing home.
Beth Johns tells WXYZ-TV (https://bit.ly/1GyVrjF ) that the attack by a worker this week in Novi put Thomas David Johns in the hospital. Beth Johns says witnesses called 911 after her husband was attacked. She says he’s “harmless” and couldn’t defend himself.
No arrests have been made.
The company that runs Whitehall Healthcare Center says in a statement it’s “thoroughly investigating and cooperating with all local and state authorities.” It says: “The safety of those entrusted to our care is our top priority and as such, we will continue to cooperate at every level.”
