WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) - Four people were stabbed in an apparent gang-related fight early Saturday morning at a West Valley City party.

Police say a 20-year-old man was taken to the hospital in “extremely” critical condition with stab wounds to the chest, and three others suffered less serious injuries.

Investigators say a group of people gathered for a party inside an apartment when another group showed up. A fight between the groups began inside the apartment, then spread to the parking lot.

Santana Percival is accused of displaying a knife and stabbing four people. The 23-year-old was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on felony charges of attempted homicide and aggravated assault.

Police say several people involved in the 1:45 a.m. fight have gang affiliations.

The victims’ names weren’t immediately released.
