ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Alaska State Troopers say a man was seriously injured in a fight with a woman that involved a knife and a non-operating chain saw but they’re not sure who was holding which weapon.

Police say both were intoxicated March 11 when the fight started in Emmonak (ee-MON’-ak), a village of 840 people northwest of Bethel.

Anchorage television station KTUU (https://bit.ly/1BRnsSM) reports troopers responding to the home of a 52-year-old man found him bleeding from multiple wounds.

A 28-year-old woman also was bleeding. Both said the other had attacked first.

The woman was treated in Emmonak.

The man was flown to Bethel and eventually Anchorage.

Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters says by email that the man’s injuries were serious but not life-threatening.

No one had been arrested as of Wednesday.
