MANISTIQUE, Mich. (AP) - A company has announced plans to shut down a paper mill in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula that has nearly 150 employees.

WLUC-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1BAYcfQ ) FutureMark Manistique confirmed Wednesday that the mill will close on or around March 24.

The company says it’s an “extremely difficult decision” following efforts at the Manistique mill since it emerged from bankruptcy in 2012. The mill will fulfill as many immediate orders as possible and a transition team will remain on site to shut down the mill.
