JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - Unusually warm weather has caused ski resorts in northwest Wyoming to close some trails because of deteriorating snow conditions, but all remain open for business with good conditions on their open terrain.
Snow King Resort managers on Wednesday closed some terrain, and skiers can expect slushy, spring-like conditions in some areas during the afternoon.
Conditions are better at the higher-elevation Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and at Grand Targhee Resort.
Grand Targhee marketing director Ken Rider tells the Jackson Hole News & Guide (https://bit.ly/1FENRWM ) that the resort’s 84-inch base snowpack is about as good as any ski resort’s in the Lower 48.
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort spokeswoman Anna Cole says that while there are some trail closures there’s still plenty of skiable terrain.
