JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (AP) - The driver of a bus that flipped on its side near Jacksonville sending six students to the hospital has been ticketed for reckless driving.
Local media outlets report that the six students suffered minor injuries and were released from the hospital Thursday afternoon.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol says the accident happened Thursday morning when the bus driver was driving about 45 mph and over-corrected while rounding a curve in the community of Maysville. That caused the bus to turn on its side.
Four students were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
