WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (AP) - Police have arrested an attorney who used to serve as a district judge in southeastern Kentucky on a drug trafficking charge.
Williamsburg Police Chief Wayne Bird told The (Corbin) Times-Tribune (https://bit.ly/1x8ZAed) that 38-year-old Jason Paul Price is accused of accepting pain pills as payment for legal services.
He was arrested Thursday and taken to the Whitley County Detention Center.
Bird said the arrest stems from a yearlong investigation into drug trafficking in the area.
Price served as the judge for District 34 until he lost his re-election bid to current Judge Fred White.
