GROSSE POINTE WOODS, Mich. (AP) - Police say a suburban Detroit doctor drove himself to a hospital after being stabbed at home.

Warren police Sgt. Stephen Mills tells The Detroit News that officers responded to St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren on Friday morning where the man was being treated. Mills says they determined that he was stabbed in Grosse Pointe Woods.

WWJ-AM reports hospital security guards had notified police of the situation. Mills says police in Grosse Pointe Woods are handling the investigation.



Grosse Pointe Woods Public Safety Director Bruce Smith tells the Detroit Free Press that officers are investigating, but they weren’t immediately sure what happened.
