KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) - A Kalispell woman has acknowledged pulling a gun on two employees of a rent-to-own store who came to her house to repossess a recliner after she fell behind on payments.

The Flathead Beacon reports (https://bit.ly/1FMXp1R ) Karren Schmiedeke pleaded guilty by reason of mental defect on Thursday to a criminal endangerment charge.

Prosecutors said the men were trying to determine if they were removing the right recliner on July 31 when Schmiedeke grabbed a gun and pointed it at the employees and at another man in the house. She accused them of trying to steal her furniture.

A mental health evaluation found Schmiedeke suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder.

The plea agreement recommends Schmiedeke receive a five-year suspended sentence to the Montana State Hospital in Warm Springs. Sentencing is set for June 11.
