LOS ANGELES (AP) - The FBI is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a fugitive Los Angeles police officer who is charged with shooting and killing a man during an off-duty fight.
The FBI announced the award Friday in the case of 27-year-old Henry Solis, who was a rookie officer at the time of the fight in downtown Pomona last week and has since been fired.
A federal arrest warrant says Solis’s father helped drive him to El Paso, Texas, where he has relatives.
FBI agents say Solis was last seen in El Paso but they also believe he may have crossed the border into Juarez, Mexico.
Family and friends told authorities that Henry made incriminating statements about the killing afterward and said he’d never be seen again.
