ELBA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama state troopers are investigating a two-vehicle crash that claimed the life of an Elba woman in Coffee County.

Trooper Kevin Cook of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said 68-year-old Betty Layton Morris was killed when the 2005 Chrysler she was riding in collided with a 2006 Ford F-250. Morris was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Dothan Eagle reports (https://bit.ly/1C2osTZ) that the Chrysler driver — 76-year-old Cicero Eugene Morris of Elba — was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Authorities said the driver of the Ford was not hurt.

The wreck happened Friday night on Alabama 167.
