POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) - A passerby robbed a southern Idaho man who was collapsed on the ground suffering a heart attack.

Frank Angley tells the Idaho State Journal (https://tinyurl.com/nq9homt) that a man pulled the wallet from his back pocket, took more than $700 out of it and walked away.

Help didn’t arrive until a friend called Angley’s cellphone and heard groaning on the other end. Cory Thornley drove to Angley’s house in Pocatello, Idaho, scooped him up and drove him to the hospital.

The 49-year-old victim was recovering at Portneuf Medical Center on Saturday afternoon. He was scheduled to have stents in his heart cleared of blockage on Monday.

Pocatello police are investigating the robbery and told Angley they would check surveillance cameras near his home.
