PEASON, La. (AP) - Louisiana State Police say a 16-year-old driver died when he lost control of a pickup truck, crossed the center line and collided with another pickup.
Master Trooper Daniel “Scott” Moreau said Sunday that Kelby Pilcher of Florien died at the scene about 11:40 p.m. Saturday. He says Pilcher’s 18-year-old passenger, Michael Fair, of Many, was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.
Moreau says Pilcher was eastbound on Louisiana Highway 118 near the Sabine-Morehouse parish line, which it crosses about two miles north of the Vernon Parish line.
The crash remained under investigation Sunday.
