EDGARD, La. (AP) - A 34-year-old LaPlace man faces a felony charge of carnal knowledge of a juvenile after authorities say he had sex with a 14-year-old girl.
NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reports (https://bit.ly/1N1LHTd ) the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office says the girl told deputies she arranged to meet Terrance Carlisle at a bus stop and they then went to her house and had sex.
Deputies were called March 18 shortly after 8 a.m. for a report of suspicious activity. The caller said the girl, who was supposed to be in school, was seen going into the house with an older man. When deputies arrived, a girl and man ran out of the house from a back door. They were found a short distance away and taken into custody for questioning.
Carlisle is being held on a $20,000 bond.
