PHOENIX (AP) - A 28-year-old Gilbert man has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the 2011 death of his 2-year-old son.
A Maricopa County Superior Court spokesman said Jonathan Ray Cole pleaded guilty Monday and will be sentenced April 8 by Judge Roland Steinle.
After Cole’s arrest, authorities said he either strangled or suffocated his son after an argument with his wife.
Responders had found the toddler unresponsive and not breathing.
