KENSINGTON, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a 15-pound pug died after a jogger kicked the dog in a San Francisco Bay Area suburb.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/1HKPW5f ) Thursday that Kensington police spokesman Sgt. Rickey Hull says 53-year-old Stephanie Lisi says she was trying to leash her two dogs Saturday morning when the jogger came around a corner and was confronted by the pug running toward him.

He allegedly kicked the dog to get away from it. Hull said the dog fell over and died.

Lisi claims the unnamed jogger went out of his way to kick the dog.

The jogger called police. No arrests have been made.

Hull said the case was being forwarded to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office for further review.
