SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas (AP) - Police have found the body of a college student who was reported missing following a spring break trip to South Texas.

South Padre Island police on Thursday morning located the body of 20-year-old Jordan Britten of Killeen in a marshy area.

No cause of death was immediately released, pending autopsy results on the student from Central Texas College in Killeen.

Police spokesman Adrian Rodriguez says officers found the body in an area not far from where Britten was last seen Friday night attending a concert. Britten’s car was discovered parked nearby on Monday after his family reported him missing.

Police who searched Britten’s vehicle found illegal narcotics.

Authorities have not ruled out foul play. Rodriguez says police are investigating all possibilities since confiscating drugs from Britten’s vehicle.
