ST. LOUIS (AP) - Lightning is being investigated as a possible cause of a fire that burned a St. Louis nightclub.

The fire broke out Tuesday night, during a thunderstorm, at Attitudes Nightclub in the city’s Grove district. Fire Capt. Gregg Favre told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1BMyTYg ) that the cause appears accidental, due to either an electrical short or a lightning strike.

Patrons were in the club at the time but no one was hurt. The fire was contained in an attic area and the building sustained moderate damage. It isn’t clear when the club will reopen.
