UPPER DARBY, Pa. (AP) - Investigators believe a suburban Philadelphia woman missing for nearly a year may be the victim of foul play.

Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said Thursday they’re exploring the possibility Amanda De Guio is being held captive.

Police say the 25-year-old mother of two disappeared in June and hasn’t been heard from since.

Chitwood says the Drexel Hill resident is a known heroin and prescription drug abuser and has left in the past, but it’s uncommon for her to fall out of contact with the family.

Her cell phone and credit card haven’t been used since June.

They’re working with police in Philadelphia to search known drug hot spots in the city.
